Terms of Service and User Agreement
Version 2026.10.02.1
These terms are an agreement between you and YOTEXT about using YOTEXT, including the web app, the API, and the browser extension. By ticking the consent boxes in the app, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance
This agreement takes effect when you accept it electronically in the app, in line with the Indonesian Electronic Information and Transactions Law and Government Regulation Number 71 of 2019. Terms version: 2026.10.02.1.
2. Who may use the service
You must be 18 or older and legally able to enter into contracts. If you use YOTEXT on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.
3. Account and security
You sign in with a Google account and are responsible for keeping that account secure. Tell us at support@yotext.app if you suspect your account is being misused.
4. The service
YOTEXT records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings, then creates tasks from the results. Transcripts, summaries, and tasks are produced by AI and can contain mistakes. You remain responsible for reviewing them before you rely on them.
5. Your duties when recording
Because meetings involve other people, you must:
- Tell every participant that the meeting is being recorded and transcribed before or when the recording starts.
- Ask participants for consent where the applicable law requires it, including UU PDP, the Indonesian Electronic Information and Transactions Law, GDPR, PIPL, and laws in places that require the consent of all parties.
- Not record meetings that law, contract, or the meeting organizer's rules prohibit recording.
- Follow the terms of the meeting platform you use, such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
6. Your content
You or your organization keep ownership of recordings, transcripts, and results created from your content. You give YOTEXT a limited permission to store and process that content only to run the service for you. We do not use your content to train our own models.
For team workspaces, the organization that owns the workspace controls the content in it, including member access and deletion. Organizations can request a data processing agreement (DPA) at support@yotext.app.
7. Prohibited use
You may not use YOTEXT to:
- Break the law, including intercepting communications without the right to do so.
- Monitor employees or other people in ways that violate employment or privacy law.
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Spread malware, try to break security, or access other users' data.
- Extract service data automatically at scale or put unreasonable load on the system.
- Generate content that is prohibited by the law that applies where you are.
8. Plans, payment, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed through the payment provider shown at checkout. Prices, quotas, and features follow the Pricing page at the time of purchase. You can cancel at any time, and paid access continues until the end of the period you already paid for. Refund rights follow the payment provider's terms and applicable consumer protection law.
The Free plan has usage limits shown in the app, which may change with notice.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will always be uninterrupted. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice, especially when a change reduces what a paid plan offers.
10. Termination
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end accounts that break these terms or the law, with notice where possible. Before an account is deleted you can download your data. After deletion, data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual property
The YOTEXT software, brand, and design belong to YOTEXT. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or use the YOTEXT brand without written permission, except where the law allows it.
12. Disclaimer
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we do not guarantee that AI output is always accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the total liability of YOTEXT for claims related to the service is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. This limit does not apply to losses that the law does not allow to be limited, including your consumer rights and the right to compensation under UU PDP.
14. Indemnity
You are responsible for third party claims that arise because you recorded or processed other people's data without a valid legal basis or because you broke these terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Disputes are first resolved by good faith discussion within 30 days. If that fails, disputes go to the district court where YOTEXT is domiciled. This does not remove the consumer protection and data protection rights that apply in the country where you live, including in the European Union and China.
16. Language
These terms are written in Indonesian as required by Law Number 24 of 2009 and translated into English and Chinese. If the versions differ in interpretation, the Indonesian version prevails.
17. Changes to these terms
If the terms change in a material way, we ask for your consent again in the app. If you do not agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.
